Things we've learned this week....

1. How to drink out of a straw. Woohoo....makes the milk go down smoother.
2. How to pout. I kid you not. The girl has it down to a science. We were sitting at dinner the other night and Dave told her "no" about something. Down goes the head and out comes the lip. Then she looks up with her eyes to make sure that you realize that this is serious business. Funny, she's really good at it. Guess she's her mother's daughter for sure!!
3. How to drink the broth from your soup straight out of the bowl....thanks Grandma Jeanette!!

We're home!

Ava at home
Well, we made it home. Funny, I miss Ethiopia. The things we saw, the land of our daughters birth. It will always be a special place to us.
Ava already fits in our family so well. Feels like she's been with us forever. She teases, she laughs and giggles all the time. Good thing in this family! :)
She came home with an upper-respiatory infection, a double ear infection and both eardrums were ruptured. Poor baby! We had no idea....she was so happy!
8-8 are the hours she sleeps and she takes a 3 hour nap everyday. Thank You, Jesus!! Sorry Grace and Miranda!
She won't have anything to do with a bottle or sippy-cup. She loves her milk, but it has to be out of a glass. Only things she doesn't like are Shredded Wheat (but who does, besides Dave)and peanut butter. Kind of weird about the peanut butter, but I totally forgive her because she loves cauliflower!! Yay!!
